Thank you Nikki - this course has helped me whip my website into shape. I thought my website was 'ok' before I started, but I realised just how many simple steps I was missing to make sure my website is seen. I've learned so much and will keep applying the knowledge as my website grows and changes. I just wish I'd know about this course sooner!

I started out knowing very little about SEO and felt quite anxious about diving into something new. I needn't have worried, as Nikki guided me through each stage with her non-wanky, straightforward, fun and refreshing style. Each module is broken down into bite size pieces that I found easy to understand and follow and there is a choice of watching a video, listening to an audio recording or reading some text. I have learnt so much doing this course and now feel more confident talking about SEO and am looking forward to making the changes that are needed to help our content and website be more visible. I wholeheartedly recommend this course to any small business wanting to understand more about SEO. OMG, AT LAST. I've done a couple of SEO courses and at some point, my eyes have glazed over and I've had to go and lie down. The course left uncompleted. As a copywriter I'm constantly asked by clients 'do you do SEO?'. And the honest answer has always been 'sort of'. I've done some free courses in the past and had a basic working knowledge, but Nikki's course has changed everything. As a non-technical person, I was a bit nervous that it might be overwhelming but she talks through everything in such an easy-to-understand way, and I've come away confident in my SEO knowledge - with thorough processes to follow. I loved the fact she's set up all your keyword research spreadsheets and a checklist for you so you have one less thing to think about. It means you can get stuck into doing the real work there and then, rather than thinking 'oh, I'll do that later' and then never getting round to it because you've forgotten what you've learnt. Nikki really knows her stuff, and she knows how to walk you through it in a way that is step-by-step, logical and easy to follow. As someone who is completely new to SEO, but keen to learn rather than outsource, I have found this course invaluable. The access to Nikki for questions has been a real bonus of this DIY course, and I also appreciate how non-wanky it is - truly, I have found it accessible despite my very limited starting knowledge, and not having it stacked with jargon and assumptions of what I already know has been awesome. Plus, now I really know how bullshit the 'SEO expert' spam emails I get are, and can ignore them with confidence.

Like for loads of freelancers, work has been quiet this year and so I knew I needed to do some work on my website. I saw Nikki was wanting Beta testers for her online course (The non-wanky SEO course). I signed up. I started watching the videos, they make so much sense. But I still didn't really do anything on my website. I added some changes to my to do list. Then I saw someone post about how he'd won a dream client after doing Nikki's course. Then Nikki posted to say the course helped, but that person did the work to make it happen. And that got me thinking. I usually say to clients that they will get where they want in their career if they do the things we discuss. I always say to people it's like joining the gym and then never going. I was doing the same thing. I was working through the course but not actually making changes to my website. I messaged Nikki to say I was kind of freaked out about how much work I needed to do. Her advice was do one page at a time. So that's what I'm doing. I was very pleased yesterday to get a list of green circles on my wordpress page. I've got loads of work to do, but I know I will now get there. I've just seen that visitors to my website are increasing already, and I've not really done that much yet. And hopefully at some point, I'll be able to write a post talking about the new clients I've got by using the non-wanky SEO stuff I'm learning all about. Thank you Nikki. I'm really enjoying Nikki's non-wanky SEO course - it's brilliant! I love how I can dive in and out of the modules to complete them at my own pace. Nikki’s teaching style is clear and engaging, making SEO concepts accessible and easy to understand (and of course, always non-wanky too!) The modules are really well structured, with spreadsheets and a checklist so you can keep track of your homework :) And I found the pre-populated example spreadsheet for keyword research really useful in helping me to generate my own key phrases. While I'm still working my way through the modules, I'm already so glad I invested in this course. It has deepened my understanding of SEO and boosted my confidence as a web designer to better support my clients. And I've not even finished it yet!
